The ride to Albuquerque was – well – HOT!!

taking or adventures were not in the cards today. We stayed off of I40 and
traveled almost entirely on the Old Mother Road. Lots of stops and water
drinking.
The
highlight of the day was a burger in Laguna Pueblo, NM at the 66 Pit Stop Home
of the Laguna Berger

Wow!
What an excellent burger and fries (cut fresh from potatoes just before frying
them).
Once
we got into Albuquerque and tried to get to the hotel we were greeting with a
huge traffic jam due to an accident. We got stuck for about 30 minutes and the temperature
was up to 105 F. Next the street where the hotel was located was closed due to
construction, so we managed to find a different route and finally got checked
in to our room.
At last... the end
of a short ride that turned out to be one long and hot day.
